On behalf of all of us at The Denise House, thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past and may be considering lending their support again this year. Traditionally the Holiday Season is a time of sharing. Your support and inclusion of the women and children of the shelter in your holiday planning goes a long way in reinforcing that sentiment. Over the years many residents of The Denise House have experienced a very special Christmas and New Years thanks to the generosity of donors such as yourself. Knowing the community cares tends to be a very empowering and somewhat overwhelming experience for women and their children struggling to rebuild their lives free of abuse. 

       We work towards covering the Christmas morning needs for the women and the children in residence, plus having a generous selection of gift items for the families we will intake over the holidays. Special meals and outings are planned, as it is important for every family to see their traditional customs or foods included. Historically we have always had a full shelter over the holidays with some women and children moving in. For this reason, we are in need of age and size appropriate gift items to have on hand for women and children. If we receive a gift item that can not be matched to a resident at Christmas, that item will be saved and utilized for a residents' birthday gift.

       Any new items, as well as non-perishable food, can be dropped off at our Business Office.  Please call 905-728-7311 to make arrangements.

• Movie passes
• Alarm Clocks
• Sleepwear (PJ's, housecoats, slippers) of all sizes for women, teen boys & girls, and children of all ages.
• Journals, agendas, drawing and craft supplies for women
• Hair dryers, curling irons, hair brushes/combs
• Make-up, Bath/Shower products, Nail kits, Personal products (shampoo, shaving cream, razors, etc.
• Night lights, board games, educational toys, arts and crafts materials, markers, glue sticks, construction paper
• Infant's sleepers, disposable diapers of all sizes, baby bottles, nipples, crib sheets, baby monitors
