Emergency Shelter for Abused Women and Their Children

Community Support Services – providing support to abused women and children, who are in transition in the community.

 Are You…

  • Wanting to leave an abusive relationship?

  • Isolated?

  • Needing help?

  • Trying to make a better life for yourself and/or your children?

  • Afraid to take the next step?

  • Wanting to seek advice, but don’t know who to call?

  • Living in a rural area?

  • Needing resources?

  • In need of non-residential services?

Please call a community support worker.

 

Community Support Services…

  • Short term supportive counseling for women and children

  • Working together to develop transitional pans (short and long term goals) to help establish what is needed for yourself and/or children

  • Provide referrals, support with community agencies (ie. Counseling, parenting support, legal issues, etc.)

  • Telephone contact

  • Home visits or an alternative safe location for meeting

  • Develop safety plans and provide crisis intervention

  • Follow-up support to women and/or their child(ren)

  • Housing support (ie. Information, applications, etc.)
